呵呵， 北美也是一样， 大多年薪的人都是1、2个星期一pay， 但还是salary。 但wages一般代表时新工， ie, hourly wage。 这两个有本质性的区别

if a person makes "wage", then s/he should perhaps wear a watch that costs no more than a few hundred dollars...
however i think most ppl on this forum here make "salaries", not "wage"...
