For Baselworld 2006, Rado is introducing the Sintra XXL Automatic with sapphire crystal display back.
Since the inception of the brand in 1957, Rado engineers have perpetually sought out harder, rarer materials for their watches. Together with the unmistakeable designs that distinguish the Rado collection, these are the pillars of Rado's steadfast company philosophy. Genuinely outstanding performance in scratch-resistance and lasting value is provided by the scratch-resistant high-tech ceramics that Rado was the very first watchmaker to introduce and which is still a defining feature in the Rado collection today.
The Sintral XXL comes in a black or platinum-colored high-tech ceramics case, and the caseback is done in high-tech ceramics with a metallised sapphire crystal and laser engraving in the back. It measures 34mm X 44.6mm.
Movement is the automatic ETA 2892-A2 with rhodanized bead decoration and heat-blued screws. It has a power reserve in excess of 38 hours.
The dial is black with 11 appliqué steel-colored Arabic numbers, an oscillating anchor and date display at 6 o'clock. It also comes in dark grey. The crystal is a spherically curved sapphire. The bracelet is black or platinum-colored high-tech ceramics with titanium safety clasp.
