It took five full years to develop Lange's first self-winding wristwatch with the patented outsize date and the useful, patented zero-reset mechanism.


Perseverance is a virtue. This certainly applies to the development of the LANGEMATIK which occupied Lange engineers for a full five years. The result is an exceptional self-winding timepiece that embodies three patented inventions: The outsize date, the whiplash precision index adjuster, and the zero-reset mechanism for the seconds hand.


Thanks to the first invention, the legibility of the date on the LANGEMATIK is about three times better than in conventional watches of comparable size. The classically understated dial is made of solid silver. The small seconds hand with the useful zero-reset feature runs its course in a subsidiary dial above the 6 o'clock marker. The hour and minute hands are made of gold and coated with a luminous compound.


The masterpiece comes in a precious case crafted from 18-carat gold or platinum. It is worn on a hand-stitched crocodile strap or with a precious-metal bracelet. The buckle with the engraved Lange signature is also made of solid gold or platinum. The embossed winding crown is solid gold in all models. Thanks to its sapphire-crystal caseback, the GRAND LANGEMATIK proudly showcases its exquisite movement: The Lange L921.4 SAX-0-MAT calibre.

With this technical masterpiece "Made in Germany", Lange created a new benchmark in the construction of exquisite mechanical watches: The DATOGRAPH is the world's first chronograph based on the classic column-wheel principle with flyback, precisely jumping minute counter, and patented outsize date.


The DATOGRAPH reflects a totally new approach in the development of chronographs based on the classic column-wheel principle; it stands out as a worthy ambassador for the attribute "Made in Germany". With its impressive line-up of complicated mechanisms, it deserves to be called an exceptional phenomenon in the domain of mechanical watchmaking.


The DATOGRAPH stops events as long as 30 minutes with an accuracy of one-fifth of a second. Thanks to the precisely jumping minute counter, the stopped time is very easy to read. The flyback function allows the chronograph to be instantaneously reset to zero during an ongoing measurement, simply by pressing a push-piece in the case. As soon as it is released, a new timing cycle begins. This eliminates the need to stop a measurement and reset the stop hand before starting a new measurement.



The patented outsize date in the twin gold-framed aperture assures excellent legibility. The luminous hour and minute hands are made of rhodiumed gold. The hands in the subsidiary dials are crafted from blued steel. The tachometer scale along the circumference of the main dial adds a subtly dynamic touch to the personality of this remarkable watch. The DATOGRAPH is available in 18-carat pink gold or platinum. It is worn either on a crocodile strap or an exquisite precious-metal bracelet. The sapphire-crystal caseback, secured with six screws, showcases the technical and aesthetic finesse of Lange's L951.1 movement.

DOUBLE SPLIT系列 [详见]

The LANGE DOUBLE SPLIT is the gateway to a new dimension in horology. For the first time in the history of mechanical wristwatches, Lange has created a flyback chronograph with a double rattrapante feature. Its unique rattrapante minute counter allows comparative measurements of up to 30 minutes.



As the world's first | flyback chronograph with a double rattrapante mechanism, the LANGE DOUBLE SPLIT opens up a new dimension in mechanical time measurement. Beyond the ordinary stopwatch functions of a conventional chronograph, it can also handle lap-time measurements, time comparisons, and fastest/slowest lap measurements. Its additional flyback minute counter makes it possible for the first time to use these I rattrapante functions in a truly meaningful way, namely for events that last up to 30 minutes - as opposed to conventional rattrapante mechanisms that could only measure times of up to 60 seconds.


The newly developed balance of the LANGE DOUBLE SPLIT beats at a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour, allowing measurements to an accuracy of one-sixth of a second. Moreover, error-free readings are assured by the precisely jumping chrono minute counter and the precisely jumping rattrapante minute counter. During an ongoing time measurement, the flyback function will immediately stop and reset the chronograph hands (and, with them, the rattrapante hands if they are still running) with only one press of a button. A new measurement begins instantaneously when the button is released again. This skips the otherwise necessary "stop" and "reset" steps.


The remaining power reserve of the LANGE DOUBLE SPLIT is permanently indicated by the small gold hand at 12 o'clock. The hour and minute hands are made of rhodiumed gold; they are also luminous. The LANGE DOUBLE SPLIT is available in platinum and with a reinforced crocodile strap. A glance through the sapphire crystal caseback reveals the true art of horology in a fascinating cosmos composed of 465 parts - the Lange L001.1 movement.

Its name is reminiscent of the year in which Adolph Lange, the founder of Saxony's precision watchmaking industry, was born. He was a pioneer of mechanical timekeeping who always placed emphasis on substance rather than semblance.


This watch reflects the character of a unique individual - Adolph Lange: His modesty, his intelligence, and his unfaltering quest for perfection.


The 1815, too, presents itself with a noble and understated look. But even the first short glance at its inner values reveals how precious it is. It has a solid-silver dial with a classic pocket watch face featuring a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock. The hands of the 1815 are gold or blued steel, depending on the model.

For Lange, this watch is equivalent to the quadrature of the circle. It is a rectangular timepiece that displays the date almost five times more legibly than other mechanical watches of comparable size. Its custom form movement fills the case with exquisite Lange watchmaking artistry to the very corners.



The CABARET showcases horological prowess to an unprecedented degree, with precious materials, useful indications, and remarkable subtlety of design. It embodies the unique features of Lange watchmaking artistry in a rectangular case treasured by a vast community of connoisseurs.



The most prominent performer on the CABARET's stage is no doubt its patented outsize date. Before its time, dates on rectangular watches of similar dimensions were often tiny and hardly legible. It is an inimitably graceful and classic watch of timeless elegance. Its name is a patriotic tribute to the Saxon roots of the Lange family.


The SAXONIA is an inimitably graceful mid-sized watch. Self-confidently, it displays the name of the State of Saxony which rose to fame and glory as the 17th century began to unfold.


Its solid-silver dial is studded with gold, lozenge-shaped index markers. Depending on the model, gold or blued steel hands indicate the hours, minutes, and seconds. The patented | outsize date stands prominently in a double-aperture frame made of gold. It is four times more legible than the dates of conventional mechanical watches and can be conveniently advanced with a push-piece in the case.

The baroque architecture of the city of Dresden with its splendid arcades and loggias was the blueprint for this exceptional timepiece. The dial of the ARKADE is dominated by the patented outsize date. This marvel owes its appearance and function to the five-minute digital clock in Dresden's Semper Opera, enhancing the legibility of the date by several orders of magnitude. TOURBOGRAPH "Pour le Mérite"

The TOURBOGRAPH "Pour le Mérite" is an exceptional expression of micromechanical virtuosity. It is the very first wristwatch in the history of horology that unites a fusée-and-chain transmission, a tourbillon, and a rattrapante chronograph mechanism. Its movement reflects the ultimate degree of precision watchmaking ingenuity. The edition is limited to 101 watches.



With its TOURBOGRAPH "Pour le Mérite", Lange tested the limits of mechanical feasibility. The first glance at the movement already reveals two marvels from the high-end realm of complications: the tourbillon and the chronograph with the rattrapante function. But what makes this timepiece really inimitable is concealed in the depths of its movement: the fusée-and-chain transmission. Thus, together with the tourbillon, the TOURBOGRAPH unites the two most complex inventions for the optimisation of the rate stability of a mechanical watch.


All displays of the watch are visible at a glance: hours, minutes, power reserve, 30-minute counter. The superimposed, delicate sweep hands can be used to additively time events that last as long as 30 minutes and stop any number of lap times to one-sixth of a second.The classic design of this timepiece is based on harmonious proportions. Its appealing case, currently available exclusively in platinum, has a diameter of 41.2 mm and a height of 14.3 mm. The solid-silver dial has an aperture at 6 o'clock that reveals the fascinating motion of the tourbillon.


The TOURBOGRAPH commemorates the 15th anniversary of the reinstated manufactory on 7 December 2005. It is of such daunting complexity that it will take Lange's master watchmakers until the end of 2006 to complete the first exemplars. Thereafter, only about one of these timepieces will leave the manufactory per month. Overall, the edition is limited to 101 watches.

Only a comparatively small number of Lange watches can be produced each year. The enormous investment in craftsmanship as well as the passion with which Lange's master watchmakers hand-finish even the seemingly slightest detail obviously limit the manufactory's output.

It is quite probably the most acclaimed mechanical wristwatch of the new era. The patented outsize date and the extraordinary dial design have elevated it to flagship status: It truly symbolises Lange's horological artistry. And its movement incorporates the rich experience of 200 years of Saxon precision watchmaking prowess.


The LANGE 1 is a mechanical wristwatch without peer or precedent. It was introduced as the first Lange watch of the new era and horologically represents a culmination of what aficionados and connoisseurs of fine watches associate with the great "A. Lange & S?hne" heritage. In its heart beats the spiritual legacy of the historic pocket watches built by Lange.



With its patented outsize date, however, it also aptly demonstrates how tradition and ingenuity can come together in style. This useful display, like the five-minute digital clock in Dresden's Semper Opera that inspired it, improves the legibility of the date by about three orders of magnitude in comparison with conventional timepieces. The solid-silver dial, with its characteristic off-centre displays, indicates the hours, minutes, and seconds. Depending on the model, the hands are made of gold or blued steel. The UP and DOWN scale provides information on the state of wind of the twin mainspring barrels which, when fully wound, offers a power reserve of three days.


The LANGE 1 comes in 18-carat gold or platinum with a hand-stitched crocodile strap or, as an option, with an exquisite precious-metal bracelet. The matching gold or platinum clasp is engraved with the Lange signature; the embossed winding crown is solid gold. The sapphire-crystal caseback affords a mesmerising view of the unique Lange L901.0 movement.
